This report and collected proceedings of the NLNE contains the meeting of the council of state leagues, in which curriculum, planning, and legislation are discussed; the business session; the league luncheon topic, federal financial assistance for nursing education; student sessions; the general session on child health and environment; the program meetings, including talks on mental health, laboratory science, community health, improvement and modernizing of nursing service, broad education versus specialization, and more. Member concerns include discussion on the lack of opportunity for nursing education in rural or majority African-American areas.
