Spine substantially damaged at the top, partially torn and crumbling around tear. Tips worn, binding and some pages loose at rear pastedown, and generally fragile at front hinge. Pages are gilt-edged. Interior contents unmarked with occasional minor foxing. Contents include a broader history of the Massachusetts Connecticut Valley, including information about settlement, conflicts with Native Americans, witchcraft accusations, the Revolutionary and Civil Wars, and more. The book then continues with histories of the towns in Hampshire County, including Amherst, Northampton, Easthampton, Hadley and South Hadley, Ware, Belchertown, Pelham, and more.
