Interior pages are tanned but unmarked. Pages are very fragile. Stamped by the Long Island Historical Society. Contains six small illustrations and a number of facsimile signatures of important residents of Lynn, Massachusetts. The first part of the book contains a prefatory note, an introduction which includes the history of the settlement of Lynn, and a description of the celebration of the semiquincentennial. The second part contains the descriptions of streets, landmarks, and historical residents of Lynn, including the famous chocolate-maker Amariah Childs, the inventor and machinist Joseph Jenks, free Black residents Hannibal and Phebe, poet and historian Alonzo Lewis, George Gray the hermit, and many more. There are also accounts of town meetings, mayors, and town clerks of Lynn.
