Using examples drawn from life, Aikens addresses the potential ethical concerns in conduct and duty, with regards to money, in economy and wastefulness, regarding tact, and more. She also discusses the nature of accidents in the hospital, and which parties can be considered at fault. The reader is then asked to imagine ways in which the accidents might have been avoided. Aikens also discusses the field of nursing from a broader perspective, taking on the different settings in which nurses work, managing savings and investments, and more.
