Volume I includes selections on abstinence, adulterers, anxieties, beauty, blindness, conjugal affections, dancing, death, dueling and much more. Volume II contains selections on envy, fame, future state, gaming, grief, happiness, humor, inconstancy, justice, labor modesty, passion, self-denial, time, and much more.
