Hello Everyone! I am excited to share that we are ready to offer a new sort of sale that I have had in my mind since we started our new books department in 2019! The basic idea is that we would pull new books that we intend to return to the publisher--overstock quantities, books that have come out in paperback, hot titles from 2020, and so forth--and stage them on tables and shelves for a final sale before we return them to the publishers.
The sale will begin at 20% off on Friday for any of these overstock titles, and then drop to 30% Saturday, and 40% on Sunday, which is a true wholesale cost for many of these books. A 20/30/40 Sale I call it.
I do recognize that this is more-or-less the original sale idea, which probably existed in Mesopotamia. Yet, I think the combination of recently published, highly interesting, brand new books and price reductions down to wholesale price at a local, independent bookstore is something refreshing in its simplicity and earnestness. I hope you will like it!

Hundreds of new books from our collection, including many top titles from the last three years
20% off Friday
30% off Saturday
40% off Sunday -- a true wholesale price for most of these books
Our largest clearance sections are likely to be Literary Fiction and popular Non-Fiction, History, and Memoir, including titles from our excellent university press collection
There will also be a substantial number of Children's Chapter Books!

What doesn't sell at our clearance will be sent back to the publishers as we make room for new stock
Our used bookstore and regular new books are also open for browsing with excellent prices and selection
