Vintage Days 2023 and October Media Sale!

Vintage Days 2023 and October Media Sale!

Hello Everyone! I'm happy to report that we are ready for another big sale, October 13-15!  We will present our typical tables filled with CDs and  DVDs, with a few records, too.  Our main sale will be in our usual pattern of $2 each on Friday, reduced to just $1 each (Wow! My goodness!) on Saturday.

As it happens, our sale is taking place just as Greenfield is celebrating its Vintage Days Festival.  We've taken part in Vintage Days over the years when we were operating at Kenwood Street and it has been a great chance to highlight some of more unusual books.  We enjoy offering a sizable collection of vintage books that priced similarly to our used books, typically under $10.  What a joy just to have something like a hardcover work of classic literature for $10! (Maybe think of gifts, even?)  As you may have inferred, we aren't quite ready to open the big bookshop, but I thought I'd use this Vintage Days event to preview a table or two of our vintage books.  Come check them out!

Also, I just saw the map: Greenfield Vintage Days are going to give people trolley rides over to Pierce Street on Saturday!  I felt so old-timey and so urbane simultaneously.  That's how I'd travel, unless of course you are out showing off your classic car.  Bring a picnic?

Our Grand Opening has a planned date: November 4th.  Our inspections are still being completed, but we expect a gold star.  (I heard that gold stars are not really something that building inspectors offer, but positive reinforcement is always more effective than people predict, and I don't think a gold star would at all reduce my unassailable, intrinsic motivation to open the store.)

Happy fall in New England.  I hope it is a good one for you and, as always, we'll be happy to have you over at Roundabout! -Raymond
