Description: Seventh edition, revised and corrected, with maps and plans. Original maroon cloth binding with gilt text on front board and spine. A large linen map included at the back, along with paper maps interspersed through the text. Binding shows wear and wrinkles, and there are several small tears in the fabric of the spine, which is somewhat fragile. Corners are bent and exposed. Interior is tanned but unmarked. There is a publisher's supplement in green pages at the back of the book, Murray's Foreign Handbook Advertiser. This is a guide for the Englishman traveling in France, published as part of the popular 'Murray's Handbooks for Travellers', published by John Murray beginning in 1836.
