Reading copy with heavy wear: leather is extremely scuffed, worn, and cracked, corners are exposed, hinges are cracked and stitching is exposed, spine is mostly loose. Marbled endpapers in blue, brown, and cream, and marble page-edges in faded blue, yellow, and orange. Pages are lightly foxed, and pages close to the covers fairly dirty. Interior pages in much better condition. Frontispiece depicts Louis Phillip I, King of the French. Title continues: "to which is added, a sketch of the late revolutions in Greece, Poland, Belgium, and France (1820), by J. Barrett, M.D., with a comprehensive account of the revolutions in France, Italy, and the German States in 1848." Hardcover, acceptable condition. 736 pages, octavo.
