Covers have completely or mostly separated from spines, and the first volume's text-block was repaired by the binder, by stitching. Wear to leather, and some minor pest damage to black pebbled area where it meets the leather. Brown and cream decorative pastedowns. Paper binding label in both volumes reads "A. S. Picking Bookbinder, 280 Main St., Orange, Illustrated and rare works a specialty." Color illustrations are tipped-in, with tissue protection. Some black and white illustrations are full page and also tissue-protected, while others are set into the text. Pages are clean and unmarked.
