The appendix offers a chronology of public health nursing, information on the NOPHN, the Red Cross Public Health Nursing Service, the National Health Council, and the conclusions of the Committee for the Study of Nursing Education. Mary Sewall Gardner (1871-1961) established the National Organization for Public Health Nursing, which merged with the National League for Nursing in 1952.
