Publisher Description:

Return Signal catalogues transness and desire in daydreams and real dreams and distraction, reimagining queer obsession in elegies and lyric sequences.

Return Signal is transmission. Is diversion as determination. Is obsession as communication. Transness and desire are catalogued in daydreams and real dreams and distraction. Testosterone daydreams and phantoms reimagine queer obsession in elegies and lyric sequences. Desire for self-determination becomes data for self-surveillance. Months pass in the wrong order. Second selves are passed off as twins, dogs, Blake's Urizen, wannabe bodybuilders, stars, mirrors, teenagers, and the biblical Adam. Grief and desire act as stand-ins for each other, measured through fantasy repetition. This time, this. And again.
