Description: Original parchment over boards, with red and black lettering on front board. Dirt and scuffing on both boards and spine, some spotting. Corners are bent and exposed. Light foxing on pastedowns and flyleaf. Evidence of minor dampstain at top edge. Interior pages are unmarked and in good condition; binding is firm. William Sharp (1855-1905) was a Scottish writer, of poetry and literary biography in particular, who from 1893 wrote also as Fiona Macleod, a pseudonym kept mostly secret during his lifetime. He also edited the poetry of Ossian, Walter Scott, Algernon Swinburne, and others. This small volume contains: The Weird of Michael Scott, The Son of Allan, Mad Madge O'Cree, The Deith-Tide, Phantasy, The Willis-Dancers, A Dream, The Wandering Voice, The Twin-Soul, and The Death-Child.
