Original blue cloth binding with gilt lettering and black decoration on spine and cover. Decoration has faded, especially on the spine which shows dirt and spotting. Spine ends crushed, and hinges are in poor condition. Text block has come loose from cover, and first few pages, including the frontispiece, are loose. Foxing on pages close to boards, some dirt inside, and minor evidence of pests. Pages closer to the interior are in good condition, slightly tanned but unmarked. Contains an ink inscription on a free front endpaper. With an introduction by Rev. Henry C. Potter, D.D., L.L.D. Chapter contents include Joppa, Bethlehem, the flight into Egypt, the return from Egypt, Nazareth, Bethabara, Jerusalem, the wilderness of Judea, Cana, the Sea of Galilee, Samaria, the towns of Galilee, Tyre, and Sidon, and much more. Hardcover, acceptable condition. 652 pages with fold-out panoramic map, quarto.
