Marbled paper boards lightly worn at edges. Interior in good condition, with marbled endpapers. Binding is loose and fragile at front hinge, and mesh is showing. Page fore-edges are deckled, top-edges are gilded. This 3rd volume of a ten-volume set is from the fourth edition, printed circa 1880.
