At the request of James McHenry, Hamilton drafted several acts concerning the education and organization of military corps. This volume also includes John Adam's decision to purge his cabinet of Hamilton's principal supporters in the government, including dismissing Pickering and forcing McHenry's resignation, and Hamilton's trip to New England in June 1800.
