The stories each begin with a proverb, and each story ends with a bit of a moral: Kitty's Class Day follows a seventeen year old girl shopping and dressing up beyond her means for an event, and to impress a boy, and the subsequent mishaps that occur. Aunt Kipp is the story of a miserly woman and her relations, including 11 year old nephew Toady, who tactless truth prompts Aunt Kipp to change her ways. Psyche's Art is about a student sculptor who, when she meets a master of the art, devotes herself to the care of others. Louisa May Alcott (1832-1888) was an American novelist, short story writer, and poet, best known for the novel Little Women. Hardcover, acceptable condition. 48 pages, 12mo.
